Our standard 3 week website design process

Any good website designer will give you a standard (or typical) timeline for a customised website. Now, this can depend on whether or not the website designer also offers services like brand design as a package deal. We offer customised Squarespace & Shopify website design, and also a website + branding package. We also offer photography and/or videography which can be paired up with the custom web design, and all these aspects will impact our timeline to get the final website launched!

For this reason, we typically say between 3 to 4 weeks to have you up and running 🤗

Customised Website Process

So why 3 weeks?! Let’s think about it this way, it gives us plenty of time to customise a website based on a client’s needs as well as getting feedback on it, and gives the client a website in a quicker time frame and ready to launch to the world sooner!

A typical timeline of 3 weeks is only possible when we follow a certain process, so let’s run through what that might look like:

Pre-Design Content (client to provide before start date):

  • Compilation of photography/imagery

  • Asset pack (e.g. branding, colours, logo, etc)

Week 1:

  • 1 hr consultation on Zoom (typically on the Monday)

  • Photos/imagery added

  • Brand design (if applicable)

  • Color codes + font styles implemented on a mood board

  • Full desktop + mobile website design

  • Domain setup

  • Other content added

  • Pages styled

  • Links embedded

  • Light coding (if required)

  • Functionality added

Week 2 (the week for client feedback):

  • Edits requested by Client

  • Edits completed by Designer

  • Edits requested by Client (repeat as needed)

  • Edits completed by Designer (repeat as needed)

Week 3:

  • Functionality tested

  • Finishing style touch ups

  • 1.5 hr post-design lesson on Zoom (typically on the Friday)

  • Website is launched!

Scheduling & Booking


The best way to get in touch with us is via our contact form (so that we can gather some info beforehand 🤩).

We’ll then get back in touch with you within 24 hours, to schedule a free 30 minute strategy call (usually on Zoom so we can meet each other 🤗). Where we’ll talk about what you have in place already (if you have a current website), and what your website goals are from this project. Once we know your goals we can discuss a website user journey & strategy going forward!

The next steps will look like this:

  • We send through a proposal, detailing exactly what we discussed in the strategy call, along with some Ts & Cs.

  • If you love what you see and want to go ahead to work with us, we’ll put together a contract for you!

  • The project commencement payment is 50% of the total fee, and this will also secure your start date into our design calendar.

  • But do remember, we need all the elements for the website ready before this start date, so that it all runs smoothly! 🤩

What Does Customisation Include

✅ Custom design & re-design of up to 10 pages (we’ll generate a quote based on the number of pages)

✅ If you have one, transfer of current domain

✅ Brand design

✅ Mood board

✅ An organised, and collaborative project

✅ Web direction and strategy

✅ Guidance on your website copy 

✅ 3rd party App integrations (e.g. email marketing, CRM)

✅ SEO (Search Engine Optimization) available

✅ Recorded training & education on how to use the platform and make edits 

✅ We’ll be available to you for brain-picking, for the 3-4 weeks during the project 🤩


What’s not included:

❌ Full copywriting service

❌ Hosting and domain fees (we include this as an external cost on the proposal)

Larger ecommerce projects will have additional costs
